If Your Outgo Exceeds Your Income, Your Upkeep Becomes Your Downfall
How do you spell Relief
By the way, the title of this hub comes from a famous old saying that is not original with me but is clever enough to be told to every new generation that comes along.
I am sure that some see last minute budget deals reached by congress and the president with relief. I for one am not so sure. I am not rushing out to sell my gold stock or the silver I bought as a hedge.
The reason I am not so sure that happy days are here again is that I see that the same kind of Euro socialism that destroyed the nation of Greece is in ascendency in the United States. And our socialists have the same inability or unwillingness to count that the Greek socialists do.
We call our socialist "democrats" of course and they want to give everything to every one and they tell the same lies that socialists tell everywhere. The rich will pay for all.
In the mean time the money is actually coming from the printing press and from borrowing.
The debt ceiling debacle is the chief indicator that we have spent too much. And still the democrats want to spend more.
We are doing far too many things that we shouldn't and we are not doing some of the things that we should.
For instance, since we have no interest in winning wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, we should not be in any of those places. Either we should be in it to win it or we should bring our boys back home.
We should not be wasting money suing Arizona over immigration.
Instead of paying Brazil to expand it's domestic energy industry, we should be allowing our own fossil fuel domestic energy industry to expand.
Before the latest budget negotiations I was all for the Tea Party. But now I am not so sure they are fit to govern though. They do not seem smart enough to take half a loaf and come back to the bakery the next day for the second half.
Yes I would like a balanced budget amendment but if I have even that socialist Harry Reid agreeing to no new taxes I am jumping on that one like a frog on a June bug.
The Tea Party may not be ready for prime time after all.
