How to Earn $50 by Searching the Interwebs
Do You Bing?
The other day I was banking another $5 dollar Amazon gift card from my MSN account and I was wondering: How could I make more money more quickly? So I looked up the Bing rewards and saw what it took to get each one and it seems to me that If I can scare up 100 Facebook friends, convince each one to use Bing instead of Google for a month and on top of that have them sign up for and use the Bing Rewards program, I could make 50,000 points which translates to $500 in Amazon reward cards. Yeah, it would be a very merry Christmas for me indeed.
Where Do I Get 100 Friends?
There's the rub. I don't personally know 100 folks on Facebook. Most of the people I personally know never talk about Facebook so I don't even know if they are on it. I need a strategy.
Well:
- I can blog about it. Surely that's worth a Facebook friend or two
- I can find clubs and groups on places like Facebook and twitter composed of folks who like sweepstaking, contesting, surveying, Search Engine Optimization or Bing
- I could also try some ancillary folks like those who are into couponing, getting free samples or playing games.
The cool thing about the come-on is it does not ask them for money or possessions, and since they can earn Amazon cards or dozens of others kinds of valuable gifts and prizes, it's a win-win!

The Downside
Personally for me there isn't any but to plays devil's advocate:
Suppose you got hooked on searching for stuff: You can't because you only get credit for a limited number of searches.
Supposed you are addicted to searching for the wrong stuff like searching for pictures of geoduck clams at you place of business.
Anyone who has seen a picture of a geoduck clam knows why you don't want to go looking at that seafood in the presence of others. If we can get the NSA to think that searching for geoduck is dangerous and a breach of national security, they can take care of your problem for you.
